This is the first work in the Stencil and Oil series, he is painted on wood panel measuring 5' by 1'. I came up with using actual wire on his face for a 3d effect that turned out very well. more to come! let me know what you think!

Created in Illustrator, goal of the project was to create a design that only artists would understand. For my project I took the disturbing painting of 'Saturn Devouring His Son' by Goya and replaced his disembowled son with a sub sandwich... Mmm

This is the second painting in a series I am working on that incorporates spray-paint stencils and oil painting. I wanted this one to have a feeling to tension, the blood red color, the hidden face and the twisted body seem to set the correct mood. The actual work is 3' by 4' on wood panel. More posts soon!
